Shen Guojun, ethnic Han, PhD, senior economist. He is a member of the 11th and 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and of the Committee for Handling Proposals of the 13th CPPCC. He is also a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th,15th and 16th Central Committee of China Zhigong Party. As a business leader, Mr. Shen is Executive Chairman of the First General Association of Zhejiang Entrepreneurs, President of the First General Association of Ningbo Entrepreneurs, and Founder and Chairman of China Yintai Holdings Co., Ltd. (“Yintai Group”). Mr. Shen is also passionate about philanthropy, and is the Founder and Honorary President of Yintai Foundation, as well as Executive Chairman of The Paradise Foundation.

Mr. Shen Guojun is an extremely innovative entrepreneur, and industry promoter and revolutionary. Under his leadership, Yintai Group has become a leader in various fields such as commercial retail, commercial real estate development and operations management, and equity investment. His innovative business philosophy and models have also helped drive change and development in many industries, and have had a positive impact on business and social circles:
1998 - Intime Department Store was established and became the first mainland Chinese department store group to be listed in Hong Kong.
2008 - Beijing Yintai Centre was completed, and became the value model for China’s commercial real estate sector. Today, it is still China’s “red lantern” illuminating Chang’an Avenue. Subsequently, large urban commercial complexes were built in the CBD of many cities, propelling China’s urbanization process.
2014 - The high-end retail “in” brand was founded. Retro-cum-trendy fashionable shopping malls that bring together commerce and culture were established, continually setting new trends in quality consumption and commercial innovation.
Under the leadership of Shen Guojun, Yintai Group continues to intensively develop industry. Adhering to the value investment philosophy, the Group has also actively invested in strategic emerging industries such as smart logistics, internet technology, mass consumption and new energy. It has jointly established leading enterprises such as Cainiao Network Technology and MYBank, as well as invested in various unicorns including ByteDance, Li Auto and Bank of Hangzhou Consumer Finance, empowering the flourishing development of the new economy.
- Social responsibility
As a social citizen, Shen Guojun has always focused on public interest and philanthropic undertakings. In 2014, Shen Guojun founded Yintai Philanthropy, and made ecological and environmental conservation, rural revitalization, emergency disaster relief, and public interest education the focus of his philanthropic efforts.
Under Mr. Shen’s initiative, Yintai Group has created a strategic public interest model that addresses the social pain points and fundamental issues related to philanthropy based on a platform mindset and shared value. The rebuilding of dilapidated homes for the rural poor in Yunnan Province, the Master of Social Enterprise Management (MSEM) program with Peking University, and the study of modern and contemporary Chinese history are just some of the strategic public interest projects that Yintai has implemented. In addition, Shen Guojun has collaborated with friends in the corporate world to establish numerous social organizations such as Ai You Foundation and The Paradise International Foundation.
Based on a unique public interest philosophy, Shen Guojun has injected more innovative thinking into China’s public interest sector, offering more models of reference for the development and change of public interest undertakings.
